National Napping Day to the Rescue

After losing an hour of sleep from “springing forward” on March 11^th, people will be feeling more sleep-deprived than ever. Both National Sleep Awareness Week, March 5^th-11^th, and National Napping Day, March 12^th, are strategically placed this month to help support all of us sleepy folks dealing with the time change. National Sleep Awareness Week, founded by the National Sleep Foundation, is an annual public education and awareness campaign to promote the importance of sleep. National Napping Day was founded by Boston University professor William Anthony and his wife Camille in 1999. Napping Day is set aside to help people adjust to Daylight Saving Time and to promote health and the productivity benefits of napping.
