Eco-logical inspiration
A legion of international delegates, members of the press and environmental activists have converged on Copenhagen for the Climate-Change Conference. While we’re waiting for the powers-that-be to forge an agreement in defense of the environment, what we can do – collectively and individually?

Practice Eco-Logic
Considering the environmental impact of every choice you make. Be ecological in your thinking. Like choosing paperless banking or bill paying options. Making small, steady steps to reduce your carbon footprint – installing an electronic thermostat or light timer to reduce energy consumption. That’s eco-logic.
Start with supporting businesses and organizations that honor their responsibility to the world, practicing transparency and enviro-conscience. Companies on the green edge, like Burt’s Bees, Aveda and, of course, Natura, make their green initiatives a high priority.
The bottom line: pledges made in Copenhagen this week will only be met when eco-logic becomes common sense for all of us.
Environmental Health = Our Health
Why does Natura put such emphasis on future-friendly manufacturing? Because we’ve learned that our quest to provide a healthier sleep environment leads to a healthier environment for our world. What’s good for our bodies is good for our planet.
While we use natural fibers, like wool, latex, and cotton because of the sleep health benefits they provide, it’s equally true that these products are sustainable, bio-degradable and don’t harm the environment.
Buying a mattress made with organic cotton and organic wool protects 4 acres of farmland from pesticide use for 4 years into the future. What’s more, investing in organic supports the organic farming community. Which is good news for our kids.
Natura World takes the lead in the greening of our industry:
At Natura World, eco-logic is a passion ignited by commitment to a future with a greener, healthier world. From innovating a machine to shred the scraps from our latex mattress and use them for pillow fill, to carding our wool in-house so contaminants are eliminated, we’re constantly finding new ways to reuse, reduce and recycle.
If you’ve never rested your body on an organic mattress, find a retailer near you and find out why we believe organic is better. We’re sure you’ll understand why the minute you lie your head down. And if you’re already an ecological ambassador, how are you spreading the good news to ensure organic is an option for the next generation?
How do you practice eco-logic at home or in your work environment? Are you ready to ‘up the anti’ and use your eco-logic? Find a retailer nearest you.

we can all make better choices – whether we sleep on an organic mattress or not. I like the suggestions here and I applaud natura for the steps they’re taking to protect our world.
always surprises me when people don’t understand that what’s good for the earth is also good for our bodies.
it’s not hard folks. make it as natural as possible and it’s good for both.
thx for the thoughtful post!
