Take a break from bed
Move to a couch or comfy chair for part of the day. When you return you’ll trade sick-in-bed pain and restlessness to ready-for-bed weariness.

Change bed sheets and pillowcases before bedtime
Freshening up your bedding disposes of germs and creates comfort for the next round of restorative sleep.

Take a warm bath
A handful of Epsom salts detoxifies and eases muscle tension. A couple of drops of eucalyptus oil loosens a nasty cough. Toss your towels in the dryer while the tub runs to escape chills when you step out of the bath.

Follow with a hot beverage
Hot lemon and honey? Warm milk? Chamomile tea? A warm drink soothes and induces sleep – while hydrating you. Just make sure to skip the caffeine!
