What you need to know to enjoy sleep – safely!
You want it. You need it. We can help you get it – safely.
Although sleep may be fun and pleasurable, it’s not worth getting sick or dying for. Having unsafe sleep puts you at risk for many opportunistic diseases that can lead to longer term pain and discomfort and, in extreme cases, an early death.

Unsafe sleep also increases the risk of minor health complications and unwanted annoyances, like back and shoulder pain, red, watery eyes. It’s important to learn and practice safe sleep to ensure the health of yourself and your sleep partner.
Allergens, your pillow and you!
We aren’t doctors, but we know a thing or two about allergens. Inside the average pillow, you’ll find more than 47 different types of fungi – and that’s not counting the hundreds of thousands of dust-mites, microbes and other allergens. Yuck!
Alice enjoys sleep but she needs help doing it safely.
Bed bugs, dust-mites, oh my!
If we’re lucky, we spend a third of our lives sleeping – that’s a whole lot of breathing (and perspiring) into our pillows. Pillows made from synthetic materials trap most of that moisture, making them a haven for things that creep us out.
Dust-mites and other allergens need three things to survive: darkness, heat and moisture. But if you remove the moisture, you remove their ability to thrive. That’s why we say go Au Natural
Pillows made from natural fibers ensure air flow and reduce the build up of moisture. It’s pretty simple, really.
Latex – Naturally breathable and hypoallergenic, latex is also 300% more resistant to dust mites and other allergens – naturally.
Wool – A mini air conditioning unit in your pillow. The tiny, crimped fibers in wool actually breathe in moisture, drawing it deep into the core and releasing it back to the environment. Because the moisture is constantly moving through the fibers, they never feel wet to the touch and allergens are given the boot.
At Natura, we call it the miracle fiber because even high tech fabrics can’t compete.
Cotton – Soft and breathable, cotton lets the latex and wool do their jobs so you can sleep.
At the end of the day, it’s night. And a safe night’s sleep should never be left to chance.

I am now sleeping on a bad twin bed at my brother’s house due to having to stay with family. The bed is not comfortable and the fibers in the mattress must be cheap. I wake up sneezing everyday. I don’t rest well and I need sleep desperately at the ripe age of 52. Can you recommend a reasonably priced mattress and springs and pillows that aren’t way too expensive as I am having trouble just making it financially but I would swing for something good and reasonably priced because my sleep is very important to me. Thank you, Tammy Winstead-Payne
Hi Tammy,
I am happy to help you. It sounds like you prefer a spring mattress, so our GreenSpring collection can answer your sleep needs. The Linden GreenSpring series is our most economical series.
Linden mattresses feature a self-encased coil unit with a healthy dose of NaturaWool, natural cotton ticking and plant-based memory foam. http://www.naturaworld.com/mattress/linden-euro – or if you can swing one level up the Laurel series adds a layer of hypoallergenic Talalay latex (latex provides 300% more allergen resistance to other foams!) http://www.naturaworld.com/mattress/laurel-euro
I would also recommend a latex pillow to combat pillow allergens.
If you prefer a squishable, feather-down feel, the Dream Pillow’s (http://www.naturaworld.com/catalog/pillows/latex/dream) granulated latex core would suit you. If, however, you’d rather have a consistent, never-pack-down feel, the Select Pillow (http://www.naturaworld.com/catalog/pillows/latex/latex/select) would be more to your liking.
I would suggest a visit to your nearest Natura dealer, so you have the opportunity to try out the products and select what is comfortable to you. And we always recommend that you choose your pillow first and use it to help you select the most comfortable, supportive mattress – they work as a team.
