How do you turn off the crazy busy-ness of your life so your body, mind and soul can rest and Re.Groove.N.8? Try a little lavender. Few pleasures rival an end of day soak in a lavender scented tub, or a good night’s sleep in a fresh and fragrant bed.

We all need between six and nine hours of sleep each night. Anything less and we accumulate a sleep debt. Studies show that after 16 waking hours we perform tasks worse than those with a blood alcohol level of .05 percent. That’s legally impaired. Four consecutive nights of less than 5 hours of sleep and we do no better. The bottom line: sleep deprivation robs us of vitality and reduces our quality of life.

Report card on Canadian sleep habits says we’re failing miserably…
If you’re hanging out on Facebook or Twitter when you should be sleeping, you’re in good company – especially if you’re Canadian. According to an Ipsos Reid poll, 23% of Canadians are spending their nighttimes fretting over their financial future instead of sleeping.
