Monday, March 15th is National Napping Day, and at Natura World we’re ready to celebrate. Founded to draw attention to the benefits of napping, and to help us make-up the sleep we lose when we ‘spring ahead’, National Napping Day encourages on the job siestas.

Daylight savings, daylight shmavings. Springing forward is a real shock to the system. Studies show that in the weeks following the ‘spring forward’ shift workers are injured more often and more severely, suicide and heart attack rates rise and traffic accidents increase. And let’s not forget the marked increase in “grumpy.”
Napping is our answer to re-booting your biological clock.
The National Sleep Foundation reports that ‘a short nap of 20-30 minutes can help to improve mood, alertness and performance.’ The IP Clinic, Marin County, California, released a study that stated “for 92.5% of workers, an afternoon nap increases their productivity,their creativity and problem solving skill.”
