Natura's Organic Certifications

 

Natura is committed to transparency, which is why we measure natural content by weight. Our mattress tags tell you exactly how natural your mattress is – and why.  And while there is no such thing as a purely organic mattress, we tell you what components in your mattress are certified organic so you can make an educated choice.

 

We believe you have a right to know what you’re sleeping on – end of story. No spin. No greenwashing. Just the facts.

 

 

The glue used in our mattresses is GREENGUARD certified, which means it has undergone testing for off-gassing and adheres to strict standards. Household cleaners and glues used in furniture are the biggest contributors to poor indoor air quality.

 

Our foam supplier undergoes voluntary, random testing and analysis to ensure integrity of what arrives in our factory. The foam used in our mattresses is partially made from plant-based oil to reduce our dependence on petro-chemical based manufacturing.

 

All of our cotton sheeting is certified by OCIA to ensure that it’s as chemical and pesticide free as our suppliers tell us it is. Supporting certified organic farms ensures that you’re sleeping on the purest mattress possible.

 

Not only do we want to ensure our organic wool is completely free of chemicals and pesticides, but humanely harvested. Sheep shearing practices in many parts of the world are disturbing at best and we believe animal rights is an important part of the equation.

 

The OTA ensures that all cotton and wool we source within North America adheres to guidelines that protect the environment, farmers and the public. To be recognized as an organic farm, the land must be free from chemicals and pesticides for at least 3 years prior to certification.

 

Our natural Talalay latex is certified by the recognized industry leader in textile certification. To be recognized by Oeko-Tex, a product must pose “no risk whatsoever to health.”

 

The Rainforest Alliance and FSC are international certification and labeling systems that guarantee the wood in our foundations come from responsibly managed forests and/or verified recycled sources.

 

As members of JPMA, we’re dedicated to ensuring our juvenile and baby products meet and exceed CPSC (Consumer Products Safety Commission) safety standards.
